I saw Sam Faiers (from TOWIE) on TV a little while back.
She seems like a really nice lady and was talking about her battle with Crohn’s disease.
Sam once suffered badly with symptoms but now seems to be in a much happier and healthier places after making changes to her diet and lifestyle.
In terms of her beauty regime, apparently (or so the gossip mags would have you believe) one of Sam’s favourite facial treatments is a "The Hollywood 24 Carat Gold Facial".
This basically consists of pasting 24 carat gold and caviar on your face and leaving it there for 10 minutes before removing.
It (allegedly) makes you look much younger and is great for wrinkles (though at $330 a go it probably has a bigger effect on your wallet rather than anything on your face!)
In the list of things that Sam has done that has helped her turn her health around, this is going to be way way way down (in fact, if we are honest, it doesn’t make the list).
That’s not to say that spending a little extra money on your health isn’t worthwhile…
For example, while they are very reasonably priced, the supplements from Autoimmune Institute consist of very high-quality ingredients and, therefore, aren’t the cheapest on the market.
Most supplement companies will put anything and everything in their products to bulk them out and keep the cost down (and their profit margins high).
But that doesn’t do anyone any good, especially when you suffer with a chronic health problem.
You need the best, if you want to get your body back to where it needs to be. Cheap ingredients just won’t do anything but harm you.
Take our Advanced Fish Oil for example…
There are a number of reasons I think its easily the best fish oil available. Including:
- High omega 3 levels (the main benefits from a fish oil are the omega 3 fats but a lot of other products are actually quite low in these).
- It comes in triglyceride form (most cheaper options aren’t in this form and therefore aren’t very well absorbed into the body, making them much less effective)
- It is from sustainably sourced, wild fish (meaning a better-quality oil, that is much more pure, and has less impact on the environment).
- It tastes great!
Very few (if any) other products on the market can make those claims.
It’s not the cheapest fish oil there is (though it’s certainly not the most expensive and is a fairly big bottle that would last 1.5 months at 1 teaspoon per day).
We also now sell it in capsules for people who dont want the liquid.
An investment in your health can pay dividends for the rest of your life…
Though smothering gold and caviar on your face probably won’t help!
