We certainly have many customers who use it for that very reason.  However, we will put a disclaimer and advise you check with your vet if you wish as we don't want to pretend to be experts in animal health.  But we have heard of great results.

No. They are very different products. The ones they mainly sell in H&B are just basic turmeric capsules. The Advanced Turmeric product that we sell is different for a couple of reasons. First is 500mg per capsule vs 400mg. Secondly, our product is mixed with Bioperine - a natural black pepper extract which studies have shown improves the absorption and effectiveness by 2000% (on its own turmeric isn't well absorbed into the body). Taking normal turmeric, like that from H&B, may have some mild benefit if taken with food, but it wouldn't be as high as the Advanced Turmeric provides, and you would need to take a LOT (an unrealistic amount, 20 times the dose of Advanced Turmeric) for it to be as effective because it doesn't contain the Bioperine and so isn't absorbed. Of course, we're bias, but it is quite a substantially different product in terms of effectiveness.
