Let’s take a look at how your digestion actually works.
Say you eat lunch.
Your body digests it.
And then your lunch comes out the other end in the next 24hrs, right?
Well, not quite.
See, this is true for younger people.
From the time we were babies until we reach adulthood, our digestive system works around the clock.
We eat.
The body digests
And then everything goes out fast and smooth.
But as we age, our digestive process slows down.
In fact, a recent study showed it takes up to 103 hrs to digest and transfer food out for people in their 40s.
This means the food you ate three days ago may still be inside your gut trying to “get out.”
And the longer the food sits in your gut, the more digestive issues it creates.
But why does this happen?
Well, unfortunately, our gut is prone to ageing.
When we’re younger our body produces a lot of necessary enzymes to digest the food we eat.
I call them the “gut workers”.
These workers help to break down the food so it can easily travel down the colon and be on its merry way out.
But as we get older our body produces less of these workers.
And as a result, the digestive process slows down.
What’s worse, the “gut workers” that are still on duty, aren’t strong enough.
And often they fail to break down the food fully.
This makes it hard for your body to push food down your colon… leading to bloating and constipation.
Now, I’ll level with you - I actually had no idea this was the case.
Just like many people, I thought my bloating problems were due to the foods I ate.
But after eliminating every single trigger food...
Like potatoes, white bread, rice, and milk...
And still suffering from painful bloating and embarrassing flatulence, I figured there was something else missing.
So I decided to dive into the research.
Imagine my surprise when I discovered this hideous reality of ageing.
The worst thing about this discovery is not many people know about it.

But once I discovered this, my team and I worked hard trying to figure out the solution.
